Does your mother have to many Mother's Day mugs already? How about something consumable? My favorite recommendation for a consumable gift is a great bottle of wine. Something that they may not normally get for themselves? Something that they may not have tried before? I love to give people new experiences so I often tend to give wine of unusual varietals or from uncommon regions. Also wines that are of small production in styles I know thy love.

What a spectacular first event in our new tasting room. I cannot thank Sasha McCauley enough for sharing her knowledge with us. The range was interesting of flavours and intensity with each distillery let alone the differences from region to region. There were lots of great questions and it was a good refresher for myself as well.

There are many different grapes that are used to make wine that are not common to find here in Alberta. We are starting to see more and more of them finding the place on the shelves.
