Jasper Wine MRKT is pleased to showcase the wines of Lock & Worth for the month of August. Located on the Naramata Bench in the Okanagan Valley, Lock & Worth is the brainchild of Matthew SherLOCK and Ross HackWORTH. Looking at the minimalist labels, one could (rightly) infer that these two would rather put their money into the wine then into full page magazine adds and flashy marketing. These small production, single vineyard wines are all handpicked, unfined and unfiltered, resulting in a slightly hazy wine once in the glass. All the wines (even the rose) are raised in neutral French oak to avoid heavy overtones of toast and vanilla which would detract from the purity of fruit achieved in this lineup. These wines are fresh and focused and are deserving of your hard earned dollars. Just ask many of the MRKT regulars who picked up a non-descript bottle of Lock & Worth one day and found themselves coming back for another bottle.... or three.
